NOW WONDERING WHAT TO WEAR?!

Finding outfits for everyone can be stressful sometimes, well kind of like all the time right? I offer outfit guidance + inspiration because one of the most common questions I get is "what should we wear". I understand how overwhelming it might be to find the ideal attire for the entire family. Let me help you with that, I will try my hardest to find coordinating and comfortable outfits while keeping a sense of your true self. I highly recommend wearing clothes that makes you feel and look your best, that obviously varies from person to person.

BELOW ARE SOME HELPFUL TIPS + RECOMMENDATIONS

Neutrals are always a great choice (cream, ivory, ecru, beige, grays, browns etc.)
Avoid neon's, large logos, distracting jewelry and patterns.
Balance outfits: if mom is dressed to impress and dad is in jeans + sneakers. The final images will look unbalanced and unpleasant.
Coordinating outfits does not necessarily mean matching outfits, please let's avoid everyone in red buffalo plaid.
Don't be afraid to mix patterns and textures, as long as they compliment and don't compete with one another. Gone are the days of white shirts and denim.
Flowy dresses are flattering on all body types.
Be practical, if it's cold outside; layer up. Safety is also big, during the cold and wet months shoe choice will definitely come into play.
Wear something that makes you feel and look CONFIDENT + COMFORTABLE.
I recommend wearing makeup (if you typically don't wear any, I would say just some eyeliner + mascara with some bronzer can really make a difference).
Highly encourage women to curl their hair (loose beach waves help bring movement and texture to the images).
Double check that baby/toddler finger + toe nails are cut and clean.
Nails should either be completely painted or clean with no polish.
Bring a stroller and their favorite snacks so littles are entertained while we get portraits of mom and dad.
I always, always recommend that littles 3-4 years old and younger wear romper/jumpsuit. It will help not show any diapers or undies during those movement shots.
Make a playlist of your littles favorite music, we'll have it playing in the background and be prepared to dance with them for more action portraits.
If you're bring a pup or two, I would recommend taking them on a long walk/run before hand so that they're tired and mellow for pictures.
